This is a new role, offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to shape the spiritual growth and pastoral care of young people, within the church and those in the wider community, who may have little or no connection with church.

• Organise trips, events and camps for young people.
• Build relationships with young people both inside and outside the church.
• Develop outreach opportunities, including schools, local groups and events.
• Support young people in their spiritual growth and leadership development.
• Work with church leaders and volunteers to recruit, train and support a youth and young adults’ team.
• Complete all administrative tasks for the youth and young adult’s ministry.
• Ensure all work with young people follows safeguarding and safety guidelines.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong personal relationship with Jesus.
• Is passionate about discipling young people.
• Has experience working with young people in church, school or community settings.
• Can introduce new initiatives and ideas in line with current/future trends and good practice.
• Has excellent communication skills with a flexible and friendly attitude with young people.
• Has the ability to prioritise and make informed decisions.
• Has exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
• Can work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Is willing to support the wider vision and ministry of the church.
